According to the Allergy and Asthma Foundation of America (AAFA), more Americans than ever before say they are suffering from allergies. Allergies are among the country’s most common, yet often overlooked, diseases. Add to this fact, that nearly 25 million Americans today suffer from asthma (over 8% of adults, over 9% of children), and 60% of asthma cases are “allergic-asthma.” Reducing allergens in your home is a great first step towards prevention and optimal health.

Wow, amazingly clear and simple!
Thanks so much – while I hope I won’t need to make any changes yet, it’s good to know where to go in case there’s a problem 🙂

Thanks Llyane! There really is so much we can do to improve the health of our homes and ultimately, our health. Inch by inch…it’s a cinch and every step matters since the indoor air is 2-5 times more polluted than the outdoor air.

inside the home. Changing your bedding, cleaning or updating your air purifier, and cleaning all household extractor fans are all great things to do. Whenever I make a change, such as changing the filter in my air purifier, I always write this down on my calendar. That way, I know when I need to change it again.
Ron & Lisa Beres says
Great point Brenda! This is such an important (and often overlooked) task. Many people forget to change the filters in the drinking and bathing water filters as well as their air purifiers. Not changing these regularly can do more harm than good. We recommend signing up for the HVAC filter reminders from Filtrete through their Clean Advantage Club. Get email or text reminders HERE.
