I like the penguin.
We second that Shannon! Best of luck to you in the giveaway 🙂
I think the green cleaning products are the best. I once passed out after cleaning using those other chemicals!
Oh boy Ruth Jean – why does that not surprise us – lol! Yes, these cleaners from Earth Friendly are amazing in soo many ways. Not only are they good for the environment, but also for one’s health. And, it helps the natural scents are divine (lavender, parsley, cinnamon, etc) A clean house that actually doesn’t smell like a chemical plant – what a concept! Good luck to you.
As a cancer survivor, everything that is “green” matters to me. I hope to pass that along to the next generation!
Thank you for sharing Suzanne! You clearly are an inspiration to all reading this as someone who has overcome a great obstacle. No doubt your positive attitude played a part in your recovery and thank you for ‘greening it forward’ to the next generation 😉
I like the butternut squash recipe. It’s always difficult to find a good version so i’ll have to try this one with the coconut milk.
Hi Kris,
Let us know how it turns out! It’s such a perfect winter dish…and healthy 🙂
I love those starry string LED lights. LED lights are brighter, use less energy, and last longer! Woot!
We second that Cassy 🙂
I am loving the recycled cotton woven blankets – gorgeous colors!!
I like the recycled glass bottle votive holders!
I love the penguin!
I love the entire lot but if you make me, I will have to choose the recycled glass bottle votive holders as well just like the other Laura 🙂
Just a few days left to WIN some goodies from the guide!! Good luck to you all & Happy (and, of course healthy) Holidays 🙂
The Home Detox Toolbox is my favorite. Thats why I really want to win it! I would like to test the air quality in my house, especially having read today that undiscovered mold in Britney Murphy’s home is what might have caused her death at only 32 years of age!
Interesting Richard – thank you for sharing! This news was recently brought to our attention as well. Undiscovered mold can be a VERY serious issue. We all need to be using our senses and paying attention to odors and symptoms out of the norm. Also, be sure to repair any and all water leaks immediately. Mold needs (4) things to survive….find out what they are here: https://ronandlisa.com/2011/09/26/got-mold/
Best of luck to you & happy (and healthy) holidays!
Thank you! Same to you and your family!
🙂
Hey, I was wondering if you two ever address specific questions regarding green cleaning tips? I’ve been trying to get dried latex paint out of my carpet and every thing I’ve read online involves paint thinner, goof off or some other chemical which has toxic fumes. Do you have a question form?
Hi Richard,
In the future, feel free to email us at: support@ronandlisa.com. We also offer home consultations if interested.
Regarding your carpet issue, have you tried white distilled vinegar? Always spot test (esp. if you have a natural fibered or colored carpet):
1.) Mix 1 tsp of a natural dish detergent with 1 cup of warm water. Blot the area with clean, dry cloth or paper towels.
2.) Neutralize with a white vinegar solution (mix 1/3 cup of vinegar with 2/3 cup of water). Apply white vinegar solution using a spray bottle and blot to remove excess moisture.
3.) Repeat step one if stain still appears on the carpet.
4.) Rinse with water using a spray bottle & blot to remove excess moisture. Allow area to thoroughly dry.
NOTE: If stain remains, you can try to apply 3% hydrogen peroxide. Let it stand for (1) hour. Blot and repeat until carpet is stain free. No rinsing is necessary.
5.) Otherwise, you can try a professional carpet cleaning company that uses ‘green’ cleaning techniques. Chem-Dry does a good job also!
Let us know how it turns out 🙂
Thank you! I will be trying this tonight!
