(Lisa, I started as a first grade teacher in public school. Because we’d given up, once our boys were born, I went into private education. God seemed to lead me there. After I got my master’s at Stephen F. Austin University in educational leadership. I planned to go back to public school. Was contacted by an Episcopal school that needed help. With the help of everyone in the school, we turned it around and got it accredited by Southern Assoc. of Colleges. NAEYC accredited our early chiLdhood program, and we were reinstated by the Episcopal group. Five years later, another school asked for help. I spent several years there and accomplished the same thing, but kept saying my office was making me sick. (Recently learned it was torn down because of black mold found ehen the lady eho took my place was hospitalized.) Developed breat cancer on both sides, then peripheral neuropathy. Now Celiac and some other autoimmune neuromuscular problems probably triggered by an unknown toxin. Left the school and worked as a consultant for Southern Assoc. until my left leg started causing falls. Private Ed provides no retirement though I got it started for teachers before I left each school. Believe I made a difference in chilren’s and adult’s lives, so no regrets– except retirement would have been nice even though I’m too young for it yet. I can’t stand or sit long periods. Now I try to make a difference in other ways. Hopefully avoiding as many toxins as possible will slow the progression and still hope for improvement. Anyway, maybe that will explain the passion I feel to make this world better for future generations. All things work for good, we just don’t always understand the pathway. Helping others, as you know, is a reward in itself. No more about me, but you mentioned you didn’t know I was a principal…)

Wow! What an opportunity!! I have suffered with extreme allergies, asthma and eczema for all of my life. I keep learning and changing the things I do to try to be my healthiest. This is something I’ve had on my list for a couple of years but just haven’t been able to purchase yet. Wonderful rain today. Wished it could be clean enough to to walk in as we could as children. Sadly, acid rain is real and just as bad as it sounds. Think a shower filter inside is the only rational choice in today’s world, at least where we live.

Received a notice today our water company faked the standards–again! Not to worry unless your immune system is compromised , Due to radiation and an unknown toxin, mine is. I’m worried and know I’m not the only one. So frustrating! Contests like this one truly help. Like the starfish, winning will make a difference for someone, and each one counts!
