Green Your Routine – In the Bathroom copy

One of the most important reasons to green your life is to demonstrate respect and compassion for wildlife and the environment. Every choice we make in our personal lives has an immediate and direct effect on both wildlife and delicate, precious eco-systems. This is especially true for cosmetics, personal care, cleaning and laundry products we use.

When you open a bottle of commercial shampoo or detergent, two things happen at the same moment. The volatile vapors from the toxic, petro-chemical fragrance escape the bottle and fill the indoor air. Then, as the shampoo is rinsed down the drain, it seeps into the groundwater and escapes into the outdoor air. The same thing happens to volatile vapors. Ultimately, both escape into the outdoor air – affecting the air, groundwater, nearby bodies of water and wildlife.

According to Safe Cosmetics, the toxic petro-chemicals from fragrances cause tremendous horrible pollution, putting the vulnerable eco-systems and wildlife in serious danger.

The solution is simple. The wide array of healthy, safe, organic, green products available at your local health food store or online make it very easy and simple to green your life and replace all the toxic offenders in your home. It is very important to vote with your wallet and contribute to those consciously aware companies that genuinely care about the environment, humans and animals.

A Great Tip For Healthy, Soft, Moist Lips

To keep your lips moist, soft and protect them from painful chapping during those days when the air is dry and uncomfortable, rub in a few drops of pure organic sesame oil into your lips until the oil is completely absorbed. This creates tremendous moisture and tastes pleasant too.

You can also add a few drops of jojoba oil, avocado oil, and Vitamin E for extra added moisture and to seal in the moisture and make it last longer.

Add more drops of organic sesame oil to make the moisture last for hours.

The first step is to become an avid and empowered ingredient label reader. Take a close look at the ingredients on a bottle of shampoo. If you are able to read ingredients such as peppermint, coconut, or lavender that clearly grow in the ground, then the shampoo is safe enough for you to use. However, if you see ingredients that are long, difficult to pronounce or require a science degree to decipher, chances are your safe, smart choice is to pass it by and skip the purchase. When we vote with our wallet and buy green, we make our voices heard and we send a loud, strong message that we care very deeply about respecting and protecting Mother Earth.
