I really like the sound of this mattress and I could really use a new one. Mine is old and starting to sag. It isn’t a cheap one but I have allergies and have had issue with it since we bought it so the Naturepedic Organic mattress would be a great thing for me, maybe I would get a full nights rest for a change. Hi Lisa. I just bought a Tevive mattress from Living Space. The salesman told me it was made of plant based soy and would offgas. It was a big selling point for me and I believed him. They delivered it and it smells bad and burns my throat and nose. I called them and said I don’t want it anymore because they lied and they said nothing they can do. They took my old bed and I replace a king with two adjustable twins. What can I do?

I am a little concerned that you mention LATEX right up front. Organic or not, a lot of people are allergic to latex. Can I assume that the latex is NOT on the surface of the mattress, but inside and removed from direct skin contact? Otherwise, people could have a nasty skin reaction or even worse (anaphylactic shock). Even removed from direct skin contact, breathing it in regularly can cause a reaction. Repeated exposure increases the odds of developing an allery. Sleeping on it every night is definitely repeated exposure. Sounds like a lovely mattress, but the latex could be a deal breaker for some.

You are correct in that the (natural = derived from a rubber tree; not synthetic) latex does not have direct contact with the skin on the Naturepedic mattresses; it’s covered in an organic mattress encasement.
